Martin Robinson is a Partner of the Asia investment strategy, based in Singapore. He has 16 years of experience in growth and private equity investing, and corporate finance. Martin has been based in Asia for more than 10 years where he has led over US$2 billion of investments and exits across the region.
Martin was a pre-IPO investor in ASX listed cloud-based enterprise data security company, Covata. He is an advisory board member of Asian fintech start up, SmartKarma.
Martin is non-executive Chairman of the Chandler Corporation’s healthcare businesses, a leading multi-billion dollar private investment group based in Singapore, where he was previously a Managing Director. He led Chandler’s US$100m acquisition of Hoan My Medical Corporation, Vietnam’s leading healthcare network. He also led Chandler’s US$100m investment in The Medical City (TMC), the Philippines’ leading healthcare network. Martin is non-executive Chairman of Hoan My and a board member of TMC.
Previously, Martin worked with Macquarie Bank (Australia & Hong Kong), where he was responsible for the Group’s principal investments and portfolio companies in Asia across a wide range of sectors. He was also appointed as Head of Sponsor Coverage Asia.
He commenced his career as a corporate lawyer with Allens (Australia) and Linklaters (U.K. & Hong Kong).
Martin has Bachelor of Law (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from the University of Queensland, Australia.
